Our commitment

Eye Health Guide logs meaning-changing corrections in public. Report a URL and the error via the contact page. We prioritise clinical mistakes and missing emergency advice. Typos may be fixed quietly; a wrong claim gets a dated note here. No payment changes what we correct or how fast we correct it.

## How do I report an error?

Use the contact page. Include the page URL, the sentence that is wrong, and a source if you have one (for example an NHS page). We read clinician reports first when the issue could change urgency advice.

## What counts as a correction?

A correction is a change that alters meaning: a wrong mechanism, a missing emergency, a broken “see a doctor today” line, or a mistranslation that changes clinical caution. We do not log every comma.

- Wrong or invented statistic
- Emergency advice that was too weak or too strong
- Locale edition that contradicted the English clinical point
- Internal link that sent readers to the wrong condition

## What has been corrected so far?

No meaning-changing corrections have been logged since this public log opened in August 2026. That empty state is honest: it does not mean the site is error-free. It means none have been verified and shipped yet.

When the first correction lands, this section will list the date, the URL, what was wrong, and what we changed. We will not hide a clinical miss behind “minor updates”.

## Who should not use this log?

Do not use this page to ask for a personal diagnosis or to report a medical emergency. If you have sudden vision loss, severe pain, injury, or new flashes and floaters, seek urgent care now and write to us later if a page misled you.

## Frequently asked questions

### Will you name the person who reported an error?

Only if they ask to be named. Default is a short public note without personal details.

### Do you correct Spanish and Indonesian pages too?

Yes. A mistranslation that changes caution is a correction in that edition, with a matching hreflang page.

### How fast do you fix clinical errors?

As soon as we can verify them. The log is updated when the fix is live, not when the email arrives.
